Global Founders Capital and Class 5 Global joined the round for Telda, which was founded just last month by former Uber engineer Youssef Sholqamy and Ahmed Sabbah, who co-founded Cairo-based ride-sharing firm Swvl.

Allbirds has landed in downtown Minneapolis.
The sustainable shoe company, which started online and has slowly introduced physical shops, opened a retail location in the North Loop in late April.
The shop is located at 219 N. 2nd St., in the space formerly occupied by Russell + Hazel. It is open 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday.
It is not just the first Allbirds store in Minnesota, but is the second Allbirds retail store in the Midwest (the other is in Chicago); the 13th location in the U.S.; and 24th in the entire world.
